Logo Contest!!!

We are looking for entries in two categories: logo with site name, and logo alone.

Prize: the badge permanently, but not exclusively. (In the distant future, someone else may win the same right.) This badge will permanently show our gratitude for the contribution made to supporting this site. Also, credit for the winning images will be displayed in the site footer at the bottom of the page.

Rules:

1. Entries must be original work.
2. Any method of creation can be used, from hand-drawn to Photoshop (if the photo is original work).
3. Format: The logo with name should be about 10 times as wide as tall, in a resolution of 1024 pixels wide. The logo alone can be any ratio, with the smallest side being a resolution of 1024 pixels wide. This resolution is necessary to allow the images to be used in different formats without pixelating.
4. Design specifications: The images will be judged as a matching pair. The logo alone should be analogous to the picture element and/or some text element of the logo with name, so that it can be recognised interchangeably in site advertisements and possible advertising products (mousemats, coffee cups, pens, etc.) The sitename in the logo with name must be the full name, in any combination of upper or lower case, and must not deviate from literalminded.com with any extraneous punctuation or hyphens.
5. The images will be displayed for judging by the members of the site at a display resolution of approximately 640 pixels wide.
6. Contestants must relinquish all rights to the images in order for the site to be able to use the winning images as a trademark.
7. Images should be submitted by email to: logo@literalminded.com. Please be sure to list your site username, so that credit for the submission can be given.
8. Deadline for submissions: 31 December 2006.
9. After 31 December 2006, the entries will be displayed for one month until 31 January 2007, at which time a winner will be announced.
